When I was a small girl I thought all underwear came from England and had something to do with chocolate. An honest mistake since a very kind Auntie sent wonderful packages, several times a year that featured Marks and Spencer’s knickers and of course, lots of chocolate. Buried deeply into my five year old psyche, was the obvious fact that “underwear” must be pretty special stuff to be allowed in the same package as European chocolate! To this day, I don’t eat “domestic” chocolate and lingerie has to be very special to be considered worthy of wearing. As I grew and my requirements changed from kittens on my panties to a bra that actually fit and looked great, I realized there was a serious lack of lingerie that was ”worthy of wearing,” at least in Santa Barbara.
To be honest, I did try the local department stores but the selection was limited and so was the expertise. What had happened to shopping? Where were the helpful ladies? Why were the dressing rooms so dirty and dingy? Shopping was no longer the glamorous and leisurely experience that I had once enjoyed. There is plenty in our lives that we have to do, women are taxed as never before, and shopping should be a relaxing and wonderful time to give to ourselves. Princesses on parole, so to speak.
Between the desire for a truly fantastic shopping experience, the need for a great bra and some very personal growth to work through, Purrmission Lingerie went from a concept to a reality in a matter of months.
Now in year nine, we are everything I ever imagined and then some. Our team is second to none! We all walk the talk every day in everything we do. The Purrmission Mission is to make sure that everyone who walks through our golden door is treated like the very valuable person he or she is. For us, attention to detail is like breathing, and yet never taken for granted. Our collection of lingerie is the best the world has to offer in terms of fit, beauty and value for money and we are grateful to be a part of what makes the world just a little bit better.
